How Splitr protects your financial information
Splitr uses data encryption to protect you and guard against unauthorized transactions and access to your personal or financial information. If you suspect that there has been unauthorized activity on your account, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org we're here to help.
Encryption & storage
Your financial information is encrypted, stored and protected on secure servers provided by our payments provider. Our payments provider has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
If you’ve lost your phone or suspect that it is being used in an unauthorized way, you can prevent it from accessing your Splitr account by sending an email to email@example.com.Once access is revoked from a device, you’ll be logged out of any active Splitr sessions you have on it.
Keep yourself safe
Splitr is designed for payments between friends and people who trust each other and have an itemised receipt. Try to avoid payments that have blurry or unreadable photos, or have multiple additional items added than you can't be sure of or can't reconsile to the receipt (excessive tips and surcharges are the most common). These payments are potentially high risk, and you could lose your money without getting what you paid for. Splitr does not offer buyer or seller protection. Business usage of Splitr requires an application and explicit authorization, please check our User Agreement for a list of business currently authorised to use Splitr. To add an additional layer of security to your Splitr account, we've enabled PIN code payment confirmation in our mobile app.
